The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Patna, is launching six new academic programs that will not require a JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) score.  These new programs will be launched for the current 2022-23 batch onwards, i.e. students who have passed out of their Class 12 in 2022.

About IIT - Patna
The Indian Institute of Technology Patna is a public technical institution in Patna, India. It is one of the new IITs formed on August 6, 2008, by an Act of the Indian Parliament. The Government of India has recognized it as an Institute of National Importance. IIT Patna is ranked 33rd in Engineering colleges by the Govt.'s NIRF 2022 rankings.

Six new programs being launched are
B.Sc. (Hons) Computer Science
i) Computer Science and Data Analytics (CSDA)
ii) Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity (AICS)
iii) Mathematics and Computer Science (MCS)

B.Sc. (Hons) Business Management
iv) Accounting and Financial Management (AFM)
v) Business Management and Analytics (BMA)
vi) Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA).

Aspirants would be eligible for these courses based on their performance in CUET, SAT(US), NTSE, KVPY, INSPIRE, State level entrance, and IITP-SAT.

Course delivery mode: Keeping in mind the post-Covid, these programs are being launched in hybrid mode.

Mode of Admission:
For these new programs, the JEE score will be considered for those who could qualify; other candidates have several different options such as CUET, SAT(US), NTSE, KVPY, INSPIRE, State level entrance, and IITP-SAT.

These courses are offered for:
High school graduates (10+2) who want to enrol at IIT did not meet the JEE cut-off (Advance) or who are seeking a UG-degree with a unique course structure.

Program Highlights:
Complies with the NEP 2020 framework structure in every aspect.
- Coursework aimed toward developing industry-specific skills
- Academic credit systems in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union are the same.
- Course goals that are in alignment with real-world requirements
- The content and structure of the new business management courses are connected with the certification frameworks of national and international professional associations such as the ICAI, ICSI, ACCA, NSE, and CIMA.
- Most interestingly, candidates will have the opportunity to enter and exit exists each year using a credit bank model.  In that, credits earned for the modules cleared will be kept safe and candidates can continue with the next modules after a break.  

Number of seats per course
There will be 1500 students registered in both tracks, with 250 students enrolled for each course.

Fees for the courses
Computer Science: Rs. 40,000 each semester
Management Programme: Rs 50,000 each semester

Admission Timelines
The admission process is set to begin at the end of August and close by the 1st week of November 2022.
